A Wedding Where East Meets West
Sarina, daughter of Kirtan Behera, (1965) was married to Brian Feely, son of
Prof/Dr. Thomas Feely of Texas University. Both the bride and the groom will
graduate from the Stanford Medical School in June 2000. The wedding took
place at the Long Beach Hyatt Hotel. The Christian ceremony was followed by
the traditional Hindu ceremony that included a barat procession and dancing,
while the groom arrived on a white horse. The ceremonies were followed by
cocktail, delicious Indian snacks and a gala reception/dinner/dance which
lasted till 2 am.
The couple will be traveling to Orissa in March for a reception at Keonjhar.
We at IIT KGP-AASC, wish the couple a long and a happy married life.

The extended family of IIT KGP-AASC, joyfully welcomes Kayan Raj Mishra,
grandson of Devendra and Shanta Mishra. Kayan arrived happy, contented and
healthy on the 12th of December
